Emergencies
After hours, Dr. Hazani can be contacted for emergencies through our answering service at 310.494.6875. If you are experiencing a true emergency, contact 911.

Lab Work
Upon booking your procedure, our practice coordinator will direct you to your nearest Quest office or other lab facility for lab work. You simply visit them at your convenience, and all lab results will be automatically sent to our office.

Patients need to have all lab work prepared within 30 days of surgery date.

Anesthesia Services
To insure the highest standard of care, Dr. Hazani only uses board certified anesthesiologists. Additionally, the anesthesiologist may contact you prior to surgery to discuss your candidacy for general anesthesia.

Post-Op
Our policy is to have someone with the patient a minimum of 1 night after surgery.

Our office can refer caregivers and other personnel to provide post-op care. The caregiver’s role is to assist with feeding, showering, ambulation, diet, and medical-dressing changes.

Garments
Specialty garments are required for many of our procedures, such as body contouring and breast procedures. We provide garments for the initial phase of recovery.

Second phase compression garments are available via the practice and can also be purchased by various other sources, such as Leonisa and Essex.

Recovery Time
In general, to insure optimal results, body procedures are more intense and require more time for healing and recovery. Although we encourage walking the first day of surgery, the stress of prolonged travel can be too demanding for some patients.

Ideally, Dr. Hazani recommends that patients stay locally for 1-2 weeks, however it has been our experience that many patients are able to handle the travel process and return home safely after 5-7 days depending on the distance of travel.

Follow Up
Dr. Hazani would like to see his patients within 1-2 days after surgery for examination of the surgical site, and to review instructions regarding shower, diet, medications, level of activity, or any other concerns. Dr. Hazani will accommodate to see post op patients as often as necessary, but in general, a 1-2 week follow up is necessary for examination and review of all instructions.

For out of town patients, it is encouraged to plan a brief visit with the doctor within 2-3 weeks if possible. This ensures that the healing process is on track, and the patient has resumed normal daily activity. We encourage patients to keep us posted with regard to any concerns or questions which may arise. Dr. Hazani makes an effort to answer every question in person as early as possible, and we pride our practice on being punctual, as we sincerely respect and appreciate our patient’s time.
